To commemorate its 50th Anniversary, George Harrison’s *Living In The Material World* is being celebrated through a collection of new releases curated by Dhani and Olivia Harrison. This includes a remarkable new mix of the classic album by multi-Grammy Award winner Paul Hicks.
The Super Deluxe Edition box set, limited to just 5,000 units worldwide, includes the album on 2LP 180g vinyl and 2CD, accompanied by a Blu-ray that features a newly remixed version of the original album along with a bonus disc of 12 previously unreleased tracks by Harrison, showcasing early versions of every song from the main album. Additionally, this exclusive set comes with a 7” single of the never-before-heard recording of ‘Sunshine Life For Me (Sail Away Raymond),’ featuring The Band's Robbie Robertson, Levon Helm, Garth Hudson, and Rick Danko, alongside Ringo Starr.
Encased in a sturdy slipcase, the box set features an exquisite 60-page hardcover book, curated by the Harrison Estate, which showcases previously unseen images and memorabilia from that era, along with handwritten lyrics, studio notes, and tape box visuals. Additionally, it includes a 12-page Recording Notes booklet derived from the original production notes of Living in the Material World, enriched with photographs and reel-to-reel session tapes from the George Harrison Archive. For the first time ever, the Harrison archive team presents a comprehensive and chronological narrative of the album’s development, unveiling insights that have remained undisclosed to the public until now.
