McCartney ‘steals’ the Grammys

paulgrammy.jpgOn the eve of the 45th Anniversary of the greatest entertainment moment in television history (The Beatles on The Ed Sullivan Show, February 9, 1964 of course!), Paul McCartney took the stage on the Grammys and he showed why there is only one ‘best’ in the business. He looked and sounded great performing his Grammy nominated Live version of I Saw Her Standing There from the Amoeba’s Secret recording. Unfortunately, he didn’t win (John Mayer did), but the other performers and presenters couldn’t stop referencing Sir Paul.

Yes, it is hard to fathom that a majority of the country was watching The Beatles that night, and the world was never the same. It was a night that we will never forget. If you were not around, we suggest you buy a copy of the DVD of all The Beatles Live Ed Sullivan appearances. You may get a taste of what that moment felt like. (In our webstore, it is item #2190).

On Valentine’s Day, Sirius/XM Satellite Radio begins a month long All Paul McCartney Station, with numerous new interviews with Paul and many Guest hosts playing nothing but Paul’s music from 1970 through his Fireman Electric Arguments CD.

If you live in the New York area or are planning a visit, we strongly recommend checking out the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Annex New York, on Mercer Street in Soho. It has some very neat state of the art features.

    Thank You,
    Dave.

Hi Dave. Of course, the Cleveland R& R HOF is the main place to go for rock fans and we do recommend it, highly (were there about 6 years ago). We are talking up the New York Annex because they are local to our FEST and they are going to have a booth there.

  3. I think Paul would get more attention ie wins, at the grammys if he was nominated in the right place for the right material. FIREMAN should have been nominated..how about his classical work.?
It is a shame that he isnt releasing the right matial at the right time and promoting to the grammy kings whoever they are. Beatles forever
