Today would have been George Harrison’s 68th birthday. It is a perfect day to dust off a couple of his records (dusting off CDs doesn’t have the same ring!) and listen to why we love him so much. His voice, those harmonies, amazing guitar licks and of course those songs are so permanently planted in our brains. The world is certainly a better place because of him. If you go his website georgeharrison.com they are streaming The Concert For George all day today as a birthday gift to his fans. This was the tribute on the first anniversary of his passing. Included in the tribute are Paul, Ringo, Eric Clapton, Klaus Voormann, Billy Preston, Tom Petty, Jeff Lynne, Dhani Harrison, Ravi Shankar and many other friends. Spread the word.

Remembering George Harrison today, listening to his music, looking at photos, and appreciating him immensely. Important to him that we remember what was important to him, especially later in is life.
Mark – I remember the very first Beatle’s Convention at the Biltmore in NYC – 1974? 75? John was with May Pang then. I worked it and have great memories from that weekend.
Things have changed, haven’t they?
Hi. It was the Commodore Hotel, but you got the year right 1974.
Actually he was born at home at 11:42pm. on Feb 24th. He didn’t realize it until he saw his birth certificate at age 40. True story.
Actually, it was the 25th. that info that came out was not accurate. His sister Louise was there and is 100% certain it was on the 25th.
Happy Birthday George Harrison!!!
He is greatly missed!!!!!! Love you George!!! <3
Missing George, his music, his gentleness, his humanitarianism.
The person, the performer, the guitarist, the lyricist, the musician.
Here Comes the Sun, always makes me happier.
