Fans are loving Nowhere Boy

We heard the comments ourselves last night. We were at the Palisades Center Multiplex in West Nyack, NY, when fans came out of the theatre. Some came over to us and told us how much they loved the movie. They liked the honesty in the film and the actor who portrayed John Lennon – Aaron Johnson. The movie opened in hundreds of theatres last night.Go see it this weekend. You won’t be disappointed.

  1. Saw Nowhere Boy yesterday and loved it, the scenes around Liverpool were great. The actors who played John and Paul were Fantastic.

  2. Where can I see it at? I live near Kankakee Illionois, and I can’t find a theatre anywhere near hear that’s playing Nowhere boy.I’m the biggest John Lennon fan there is! I gotta see it!

  3. I just saw it last Friday night and was deeply moved. Such a great movie, and the ending really got to me. All Beatles fans (and fans of great music in general) should go. Loved, loved, loved it!

  4. The people who did this movie were obviously big fans of Lennon. The movie mainly centers around Lennon’s realationship with his Aunt Mimi and his mother. There is very little about the Beatles, although what is in there seems to be very accurate. It sent me to my Beatle library afterwards to check on some of the details and everything seemed to be spot on, according to memories of several different people, including Paul. The actors were wonderful. After a while, you kind of forgot that they didn’t really look like the real people, but they seemed to have mastered the personalities and mannerisms. If you can’t get to see it in a theater, be sure to reserve it on Netflicks. Definitely worth seeing — maybe even buying!

  5. i missed it in the local theater here but i am gonna be adding this to my Beatles DVD collection when it comes out !!!!!

  6. Saw it in NYC in mid October, but it has since been released in more theaters. Loved every miniute of it, and at the end I told my husband I could have sat through another two hours!
@ Debbie T – The whole point of the movie was to focus on John’s life prior to the Beatles. If you noticed they never even uttered the word “Beatles” during the film.
It truly gave an intimate view into John’s tortured childhood, and to me gave the “icon” a lttle more every man feeling.
