JUNE 13TH – PAUL McCARTNEY SECRET GIG IN NYC – AMAZING MEMORY ALMOST FULL

memoryalmostfull.jpgTHURSDAY, JUNE 14TH UPDATE: Paul’s new CD enters Billboard’s Top 200 Chart at Number 3! It is the highest charting rock album this week. Last night, Paul gave a ‘secret concert’ at the new Highline Ballroom in the meatpacking district in New York City. 90 minutes of pure joy and electricity. It looked like around 600 mostly fans were in attendance to witness the first time Paul has played Beatles songs in a club (at least in the U.S.) in more than 40 years. Paul showcased 5 new songs from his excellent new CD Memory Almost Full – Dance Tonight, Only Mama Knows, That Was Me, House of Wax and Nod Your Head. His whole band was there except Wix, who had a previous engagement. Paul’s voice has never been better and he seemed to really enjoy the coziness of the room, where fans were standing 5 feet from him. Some of the Beatles songs he performed were (not in o rder)Drive My Car (opening song), I’ll Follow the Sun, Lady Madonna, Hey Jude, Long and Winding Road, Let It Be, Get Back, I’ve Got a Feeling. Blackbird, Back in the U.S.S.R..Paul also treated the fans to C Moon, Calico Skies and Here Today, which he dedicated to three lost mates – John, George and Linda. He also performed Carl Perkins’ Matchbox, which we cannot recall Paul ever singing lead on! It was a night to remember. Our NY METRO FEST MC Q104.3’sKen Dashow and our CHICAGO MC WXRT’s Terri Hemmert were both in attendance, as was WFUV’S Darren DeVivo, and Whoopi Goldberg! What an evening. We’ve said it before – When you’re the best, you’re the best!

SATURDAY, JUNE 9TH IMPORTANT UPDATE: We have just been informed that Paul’s new CD has a very good chance of entering Billboard’s Top 200 Chart at Number One. It is very tight with two new Rap artists. Paul has a very slight lead! If you haven’t purchased your copy yet, try to get to a store by tomorrow, Sunday, or order through us. We will make sure that our sales are counted as well. The media usually announces the new charts on Thursdays. Good luck Paul.

TUESDAY, JUNE 5TH UPDATE: PAUL McCARTNEY’S great new CD, Memory Almost Full is released today and in an unprecedented event,. every Starbucks (10,000 stores!) around the world is playing the album from opening to closing in a Global Listening Event!.Of course, the new CD is on the Starbucks owned label, Hear Music. So if you haven’t bought the CD from us already, you may still do so, but you can go to any of the Starbucks with friends, have a mini listening party and BUY THE CD!!. We think Paul has a great chance of entering Billborad’s charts at Number One, and on an album that is well deserved. There are 10 locations that will have video crews where fans can come in and record a birthday message for Paul, which will air on his birthday (June 18). Two of our FEST MCs are hosting at two locations. Q104.3’s KEN DASHOW will be at the Starbucks on West Park Avenue, in Long Beach, NY from 11AM-1PM today and Beatle Brunch’s JOE JOHNSON will be in a Miami store, also from 11AM-1PM.

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 11th UPDATE: After nearly 43 years with Capitol/EMI, PAUL McCARTNEY has signed a recording contract with Concord Music, a subsidiary of Starbucks. His new CD, Memory Almost Full, is due out in early June, Someone who has heard it already, says it has some great classic Paul songs on it plus a terrific CD ending medley. Ringo is not planning to tour in 2007, but it is a strong possibility that Paul will tour later this year. We will be putting them on the web shortly, once we have more details on all of them. We will also do an email blast to our customers with these and other titles, soon. If you would like to receive our emails, which are totally FREE, just sign up. There’s a button to the left of this notice to enter. Apple Corps announced yesterday that Neil Aspinall is no longer working with them. In an official statement: Apple announces the departure of Neil Aspinall, who had been with John, Paul, George and Ringo for a spectacular 40 plus years, during which he played an indispensable role for the four. He was there since the inception of the band in Liverpool and has meant so much to the Beatles’ family for all these years and still does. However, he has decided to move on. Apple as a whole, and each member of this company, wishes him great success in whatever endeavor he chooses to pursue in the future. Apple has also announced that Jeff Jones is taking over as CEO. Jeff comes to Apple via Sony, New York. He has a great reputation as a records person and has worked on a myriad of music projects over the years.
