It is a feat that will never again be accomplished in music. On this day in 1964 The Beatles had the Top 5 Songs on the Billboard Top 100 Singles of the week. The closest any other artist ever got was 3 songs in the Top 10. But there they were- Can’t Buy Me Love, Twist and Shout, She Loves You, I Want To Hold Your Hand, Please Please Me, sitting at the top, along with 7 other Beatles songs in the Top 100 the same week. Beatlemania kept growing in the months following their first Ed Sullivan appearances. Some critics predicted they would be forgotten by the summer. Boy were they wrong! When summer arrived, so did A Hard Day’s Night Film. The critics LOVED it. Roger Ebert called it one of the greatest movies ever! That was some year.

I talked to Jude Kessler, she told me the Beatles Fest was awesome and she sold a bunch of books. I wish I could go sometime, wish they would come to Florida! Have you met Jude? Was just wondering.
I have been a Beatle fan from the day they came out and I was 14, I got to see them 2 times perform, still crazy over them at 61 and even have my extra bedroom into a Beatles room.

I am a first generation Beatles fan and I lived those moments in time. What a year 64 was. The Beatles dominated just about everything. They brought happiness back to a Country shocked by The Kennedy Assassination. I am still a fan today and collect everything Beatles. The love never goes away.
I am a huge beatles fan. I was only 11 years old when they came to America. But I remember their first appearance on Ed Sullivan. I will always love their music. Paul Mccartney was my favorite and still is.

I too am a first gen. Beatles fan….late 1963 til now. I went to the Fest and did meet Jude Kessler-bought two of her books, and talked quite a long time with her. She was so nice, gracious, and enjoyable to talk to…I hope I can go again next year-It was so wonderful to be with others who love The Beatles from the earliest days. I also met Freda Kelly, who also was very sweet, and humble. She was the secretary for the Beatles fan club…I remember all the songs being at the top-they had to be!!! Great music is timeless!!! My spare room has tons of Beatle stuff, too, plus Beatles rockband-how true-the love never goes away!

I,m a first generation Beatles fan also. They changed the world with their heart, energy and soul! I play guitar,bass yet today because of them . There was nothing phony or or overhyped about them. They.. were the energy.
