Sid Bernstein was a legendary concert promoter who was instrumental in bringing The Beatles from Britain to America in 1964. He was best known for booking The Beatles' concert at Shea Stadium in 1965 - the first major stadium concert that turned out to be a watershed moment in the history of Rock & Roll. In addition to The Beatles, Bernstein worked with Frank Sinatra, Jimi Hendrix, Sly & the Family Stone, and others.
Sid Bernstein was the first guest at the very first Fest in 1974.
Born in New York, NY on August 12th, 1918, Sid Bernstein passed away in 2013.
